BATON ROUGE - Firefighters rescued a window washer who was stranded on the side of a building in Baton Rouge this morning.

A spokesman for the St. George Fire Protection District says the person was stuck at the fifth floor level at 8555 United Plaza Blvd, off of Essen Lane.

The rigging of the washer's bosun's chair jammed just after 10:30 a.m.

Firefighters extended a ladder to the stuck worker and helped him climb down.

The rescue took about 20 minutes.
