Firefighters quickly put out N. Foster fire
BATON ROUGE - During a busy morning for firefighters in the Capital City, BRFD dispatched trucks and firefighters to a N. Foster business where they quickly contained a fire Tuesday morning.
Investigators said the fire started in the back room of a cellular phone store in 2000 block of N. Foster, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene shortly after 10 a.m.
A BRFD spokesperson said firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by 10:48 a.m. No injuries were reported in connection with the blaze and damage to the structure was estimated at around $2,000.
Only minutes after the N. Foster fire was put out, Baton Rouge firefighters were on the scene of two separate house fires that ignited around the same time Tuesday morning.
Investigators said they have not found the cause of the N. Foster fire, but did say it was suspicious in nature and will investigated further.
