Firefighters call North St. fire unintentional
BATON ROUGE - An investigation remains ongoing, but firefighters in Baton Rouge said a house fire in the 3000 block of North Street was unintentional and foul play is not suspected at this time.
Firefighters were called to extinguish the blaze at a home at the intersection of North and N. 30th St around 3:30 a.m. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire within the hour, but said the home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage before the blaze was under control.
Investigators said the the home is a total loss due to the extensive damage. There were no injuries reported in connection with the fire.
