Firefighter's remains identified from 9-11
NEW YORK- The remains of a firefighter killed in the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center were recently identified after retesting.
The medical examiner's office says the remains of Lt. Jeffery Walz were collected before 2002 but retesting only identified them recently. He was 37 and was killed in the trade center's north tower. Identifications are made periodically, the most recent, two weeks ago when authorities identified a 43-year-old woman but didn't give her name. Walz left a wife and toddler son.
