Fire station to be named after volunteer who died at plant
DONALDSONVILLE- Next week, a fire station here will be renamed to honor a volunteer firefighter who was killed in an explosion at a plant earlier this summer.
Rocky Morris died when a pipe ruptured at C.F. Industries. He worked at the plant and also fought fires through the McCall Palo Alto Fire Station in Ascension Parish.
The station will be named after him at a ceremony on Monday, September 9th the fire chief said.
New firefighting equipment was bought with donations made at Morris' funeral.
