BATON ROUGE- Firefighters evacuated about 100 people from a bar because of a fire in downtown Baton Rouge early Saturday morning.
Investigators have not determined what started the blaze in a storage room at MAPP Construction, located next to the M Bar on 3rd Street.
When firefighters got to the scene they found smoke lingering in the area and immediately began evacuating club-goers. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze before anyone was injured.
The two businesses received some smoke and water damage.
