Fire destroys home in E. Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - A fire destroyed a home in East Baton Rouge Parish this afternoon.
It happened at 6898 Lacey Drive in northern Baton Rouge around 2:40 p.m.
Firefighters said a woman was inside the home when the fire started, but made it out without injury.
The house was a total loss, but firefighters managed to keep the flames from spreading to nearby homes.
Investigators said they're still working to determine what caused the fire.
