Fire challenge arrest
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA- A 41-year-old mom is under arrest for helping her teen son set himself on fire as part of a dare on YouTube known as the "fire challenge."
It's where people pour flammable liquids on their bodies and set themselves on fire, hoping to extinguish the flames before the skin is burned.
Janie Talley is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A burn unit in Chapel Hill says it recently treated a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old with serious burns from the challenge.
Police say Talley's 16-year-old had minor burns when he panicked after setting himself ablaze.
The video that was posted to YouTube shows others putting out the flames.
