Fire: Arson fire set to cover up burglary
BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge Fire Department says criminals set a house on fire after it was burglarized to cover up the evidence.
The house is on the 3400 block of Tecumseh Street near I-110 and one block north of Winbourne.
Officials say the fire was set at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday and caused about $25,000 in damage. The fire was out within 20 minutes of the first units arriving.
The fire and burglary are still under investigation.
