Final regional semifinal games are tonight
UNDATED - Following last night's play in the East and West Regionals, the South and Midwest take center stage this evening in the men's NCAA tournament.
The first game of the night will start in Indianapolis as overall No. 1 seed Louisville faces Oregon in the first Midwest game. The Cardinals advanced with wins over North Carolina A&T and Colorado State while the Ducks beat Oklahoma State and St. Louis.
The second contest has Duke facing Michigan State. Coach Mike Krzyzewski's Duke team got this far with wins over Albany and Creighton, while the Spartans of coach Tom Izzo eliminated Valparaiso and Memphis.
In Arlington, Texas, the opening game of the South Regional tonight as has regional No. 1 Kansas playing fourth-seed Michigan while Cinderella team Florida Gulf Coast, the 15th seed, goes up against third seed Florida in the nightcap.
FGCU surprised the basketball world with its shocking upset of second seed Georgetown and a victory over seventh-seed San Diego State. The Gators of coach Billy Donovan knocked off Northwestern State and Minnesota to get this far.
The winners of these four games will play on Sunday for the right to advance to the Final Four.
The East and West Regional finals are being played tomorrow with a pair of Big East schools, Marquette and Syracuse, vying for the East championship, while in Los Angeles Ohio State and Wichita State will play for the West title and a spot in the Final Four.
