Fighting the flu with Dr. Calandro
BATON ROUGE - Dr. Mindy Calandro talked about how to fight and handle the flu today on WBRZ News 2 at 4.
The pediatrician said she's seen a peak in flu cases in the past few weeks. She said make sure to keep your children home from school or day care for several days if they get sick.
She said getting the flu vaccine is the most effective way to fight the virus. Children six months and older can get the shot.
Louisiana is one of the states with widespread flu activity.
