Fewer beach advisories off La. coast for Labor Day weekend
BATON ROUGE- There are fewer beach advisories for the Labor Day weekend than earlier this summer.
Scientists posted warnings about potentially dangerous bacteria in the water off two coastal areas: Cypremort State Park and a section of Grand Isle State Park.
Previously, more than half of beaches in Louisiana had advisories about bacteria in the water.
Some people got sick and one person died due to flesh-eating bacteria in the water over the summer.
