Feud over closed rail crossings goes to court Wednesday
AMITE- Wednesday, the state will face-off with people upset some railroad crossings were closed in Tangipahoa Parish.
A hearing is set for the crossings that were shuttered and destroyed in Independence, Velma, and Tangipahoa two weeks ago. Multiple people have died when vehicles collided with trains on the crossings.
People said the crossings were closed in a "sneak attack."
