WBRZ - Baton Rouge

A 20-week-old fetus was found in a sewage pump Monday morning by waste management workers in the 8500 block of GSRI Road.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's crime scene units as well as the Coroner's Office responded to the scene at 10:40 a.m.

At this time, EBRSO officials say it is too early to determine the cause of death. They have classified this as a "death investigation" until the coroner's autopsy and evaluation of the fetus is complete.
