Ferry closed Wednesday

The ferry between New Roads and St. Francisville will not run Wednesday.

Crews need to repair the vessel's engine cooling system. The ferry is expected to return Thursday.

There are several ways to keep up with the ferry's status. You can call 1-888-613-3779, check the ferry's Twitter page updated by the state DOTD or see the status of all ferries on the department's website.
