BATON ROUGE- People recovering from Hurricane Isaac can try to get more help from FEMA. The agency said Tuesday it has more assistance available.

$530,000 has been added to the relief money for thousands of storm victims. FEMA also said it is making follow-up calls and some home visits.

"The recovery process is stressful for those who suffered great losses, and we want to make sure all survivors get the maximum grant they are eligible to receive," Federal Coordinating Officer Gerard M. Stolar in a news release.

Since the August storm, more than $117 million in grants for eligible individuals and families has been approved.
