Felon accused of drug, gun possession
LABADIEVILLE - Sheriff's investigators arrested a Labadieville man after deputies said they found a gun and drugs in his home this week.
Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Assumption Parish narcotics agents and SWAT members searched the home of Kendell Jones, 32, on Thursday. During the search Waguespack said deputies found marijuana and a gun in the home.
The sheriff said Jones has prior felony convictions for several drug crimes, and because of that was prohibited from owning a gun.
Deputies booked Jones into the parish jail on charges of drug possession and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond had not been set as on Friday morning.
