MOSCOW- This may be the first time prisoners in one of Russia's jails used a cat to smuggle contraband.
Guards patrolling Penal Colony No. 1 near the city of Syktyvkar in the northern part of Russia saw a cat on the fence that seemed to be carrying something. On closer inspection, they found a few cell phones and chargers taped to the cat's belly.
It wasn't clear how the cat was supposed to drop of its load of loot.
