Fefee brothers released from hospital, booked into jail
BATON ROUGE - A pair of brothers were released from the hospital and booked into jail following a violent police pursuit that ended with them being shot by police last week.
Baton Rouge Police said Thomas Fefee, 24, was booked into jail on five counts of attempted first degree murder and simple criminal damage to property. Fefee was booked Wednesday evening, police said.
Investigators believe Fefee was driving the Mercedes used as a weapon that nearly hit officers at the end of a chase near the intersection of Perkins and Acadian. Officers shot at the occupants of the vehicle in self defense, police said after the incident.
Thomas' brother, Justin Fefee, was also in the car. Both were taken to an area hospital.
Police said Justin Fefee was also booked into jail after being treated at the hospital. He was charged with felon in possession of a firearm. Thomas Fefee faces those charges, too, in addition to the ones listed above.
Booking records at the East Baton Rouge Parish jail indicate Justin Fefee is no longer in custody but Thomas is being held with no bond as of this post.
