Feeding the needy on Easter Sunday
BATON ROUGE - Volunteers were making a difference by feeding the homeless at St. Vincent de Paul.
People who were there say it makes them feel right at home.
Michael Genoln, whose been in the Baton Rouge area for only five years, knows what it's like to miss his family. And being able to spend the holidays at St. Vincent means a lot to him.
"It makes me feel excited you know. Happy you know. They're like family to you. Family away from home," said Genoln.
Last year, St. Vincent served nearly two hundred and fifty thousand meals to those in need.
