Father of missing LSU student creates Facebook page
BATON ROUGE - The father of missing LSU student Michael Nickelotte Jr. has created a Facebook page to aid in the search for the 21-year-old who's been missing for almost a week.
The father, Michael Nickelotte Sr., created the page Saturday that already has over 2,000 members.
Nickelotte Sr. shared an update Saturday on what has transpired since the disappearance of his son. He said that he believes the search stalled because of the LSU football game on campus Saturday night.
"I feel no advance of my sons case has been accomplished recently and in the days ahead because of the gridlock on campus due to the LSU home game," Nickelotte Sr. said in the post.
Michael Nickelotte, 21, was last seen at his on-campus apartment by his roommate at 1 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18. Campus police say he is believed to have left on his own and may harm himself.
Nickelotte is described as being 6'1" with blue eyes and a close-cropped military style haircut.
