BATON ROUGE - One woman was killed in a single car crash that happened on Scenic Highway Sunday afternoon.

21-year-old Doneisha Clarke died from injuries sustained in the crash. The wreck happened around 1:05 p.m. on 3900 block of Scenic Hwy.

Authorities say Clarke lost control of her 2006 Jeep Liberty crashing into a metal utility pole. A 2-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Police believe speed was a factor, but the wreck is still under investigation.
