Fast response from firefighters saves Linwood St. home
BATON ROUGE - Rapid response from the Baton Rouge Fire Department saved most of a home Monday morning as firefighters contained a fire in just over 10 minutes.
A BRFD spokesperson said firefighters arrived at the scene on Linwood Street near Seneca Street shortly after 10 a.m. to find flames coming from the rear of the house. After kicking in the backdoor of the residence, firefighters quickly contained the fire to the laundry room, sparing the rest of the house, which suffered only minor smoke damage.
Investigators said the cause of the fire remains undetermined, and foul play is not suspected at this time.
