The nominations are in for the Fans' Choice player of the week. You can vote beginning Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Dutchtown running back Effrem Reed - Reed ran the wildcat formation to perfection against St. Amant, piling up 231 yards and three touchdowns in the Griffins win.

St. John of Plaquemine wide receiver Davante Williams - Williams rushed 7 times for 98, scoring 3 touchdowns against Christian Life, while also intercepting a pass on defense.

Live Oak running back Mike Templeton - Templeton hauled in the game-winning 29-yard reception as time expired against Scotlandville.

We'll announce the winner Wednesday on News 2 at 6 and 10.

Mike Templeton deserves his just due. He has quietly been the heart and soul of the Live Oak offense. He's been a go to clutch performer all year just hasn't had the recognition as Reed or Williams. Recruiters are missing out on a quality kid with this one!

I think you should look a litter harder at the Central High team, David Vest, LB played an outstanding game this past friday, it is a shame his name is not up there. Looks like the same names are up there every week, what a shame. I thought nomination was on Monday, it is now 8:07 AM and the names are already up there. what is up???
