Family begs for tips in missing child case
CONVENT- Family members of a missing 12-year-old hope a reward will help increase tips related to the search for the child.
Talaija Dosey has been missing since Tuesday morning. Saturday begins the fifth day of searching, an effort that has turned up little else than a slipper and an arrest. There has been no sign of the child.
"The longer it goes the harder it is for me to imagine that she'll come back to me walking through that door," Emma Smith, Dosey's mother, told WBRZ News 2's Ryan Naquin Friday night as the family gathered for a vigil.
The reward for information is $2,500.
John Celestine faces obstruction of justice and false reports charges.
Friday, search crews added St. Charles near the Jefferson Parish line to the list of areas searched. They've also looked in Assumption and the child's home parish, St. James.
