Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre says a Lafayette man posed as a bounty hunter to rob people - and took them to jail once he had their cash.
He says 52-year-old Khebran Arthur pleaded guilty on Monday to one count each of theft and simple robbery, and was sentenced to two years in prison.
The sheriff says complaints from two people Arthur booked last year started the investigation.
Both told investigators he came to their doors, took cash at gunpoint, then took them to jail on
Investigators found that Arthur used to have a Louisiana bail bond license, but it expired in April 2007.
Webre says Arthur has a long arrest record dating back to 1976, including drug, extortion and assault charges.
