An explosion at a coal mine in northern Turkey has trapped around 25 workers underground.

Rescue workers are trying to reach the trapped workers at the Karadon mine near the Black Sea port town of Zonguldak.

Eight workers have already been rescued.

There is no word on the cause of the blast.
