Exploding pot pop
BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON- The manager of a legal marijuana shop says "it sounded like a shotgun going off" when bottles of pot-infused pop started exploding on store shelves. No one was hurt but the store manager wore a face guard and protective gear to move more than 300 bottles to a trash bin. The soda is made by Mirth Provisions and delivered to the legal marijuana store last month. The next day, employees found a sticky mess and heard and saw some bottles explode. Mirth Provisions says there was too much yeast in the soda and fermentation caused excess carbon dioxide to build up and the soda exploded.
