MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Former Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell has enrolled at Alabama State and is expected to play for the Hornets this season.

Georgia coach Mark Richt dismissed Crowell last Friday after the sophomore was arrested on felony weapons charges.

Police said they found a gun in his vehicle when he was stopped at a vehicle checkpoint on the Georgia campus at about 2:20 a.m.

Police say he faces charges including carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon on school property.
