A former account manager for a medical billing service has been sentenced to 37 months in federal prison.
Nikkie LaFleur, of Lake Charles, will have to pay about $621,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to three counts of health care fraud.
Prosecutors say LaFleur embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from medical providers' accounts.
She once worked for Lake Charles-based Medical Provider Services.
The government also is attempting to seize LaFluer's jet skis, motorboats and a travel trailer allegedly purchased with the stolen money.
