BUTTE LAROSE - Authorities are giving residents in Butte LaRose two more days to get their belongings and secure their property before evacuating ahead of rising floodwaters.

Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office said the mandatory evacuation order would still be in place for residents in the Happy Town and Sherburne area, who would have to be out of their homes by 8 a.m. Saturday.
