The Louisiana Democratic Party has filed an ethics complaint against Senator David Vitter.
The party claims Vitter is using taxpayer funded, town hall meetings to lash out against Congressman Charlie Melancon. Melancon is often mentioned as a possible opponent for Vitter's senate seat.
Republicans say Vitter did not cross the line in the meetings. They say this is an attempt by the Democrats to block open debate about issues like healthcare reform.
