DENHAM SPRINGS - The state ethics board will not look into allegations against a former Livingston Parish Council clerk, according to the parish president.
Mary Kistler had a computer company delete thousands of her emails when she resigned from the parish council to work for President Layton Ricks.
Last year the council voted to have the sheriff's office and attorney general look into the matter. Ricks said recently Kistler received a letter from the Board of Ethics saying they chose not to address the matter.
Ricks said the state Inspector General and FBI still were reviewing the case, though.
