Ethel man killed in single vehicle accident
GREENSBURG - State police say a 21-year-old Ethel man died in a single vehicle crash in St. Helena Parish.
The accident happened before 8 p.m. Monday and La. Highway 38 west of Greensburg.
Troopers say Evan Vides was westbound when his pickup failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck several trees.
Vides was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Helena Parish Coroner's Office.
He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Trooper Nick Manale says alcohol use is suspected as a factor in the accident.
