BATON ROUGE - A man who walked away from his work-release job earlier this week is back in custody, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.
Johnathan Brumfield was arrested at a relative's house this morning after law enforcement agencies received a call from the relative.
Brumfield has been on the run since Monday when he left his work-release job on Coursey Boulevard.
He was booked into parish prison on simple escape. He was previously serving time for theft over $500.
