A gorilla that bit a zookeeper and escaped its cage in Buffalo, New York was captured in a zookeeper's lounge. The lounge is outside the zoo's public areas and the gorilla had to be tranquilized. The 24-year-old gorilla named Koga got out of his cage into an isle where a zookeeper was working and she was bit on the hand and calf. She got away by going into a cage with other gorillas and called the animal escape team. The zookeeper had minor bite wounds and went to the hospital for treatment.
