BATON ROUGE - An anonymous tip led East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies to an escaped prison trusty today.
Spokesperson Casey Rayborn Hicks said a tip led deputies to Raymond Ballard, 45, who walked away from a substation in Central earlier this week.
She said Ballard was seen riding a bike away from a fast food restaurant on Coursey around 4 p.m. today. Deputies picked him up shortly afterward on Cedarcrest.
Ballard was initially booked in April in suspicion of cocaine possession. He will be rebooked with added simple escape charges.
