EPIC Piping to establish fabrication, headquarters
LIVINGSTON - Gov. Bobby Jindal and EPIC Piping President Kent Shepherd says the company will make a $45.3 million investment in Livingston Parish to establish an advanced pipe fabrication facility and corporate headquarters.
The entire 200,000-square-foot facility, with future expansion to 300,000 square feet, will be air-conditioned workspace, with advanced robotic equipment to optimize pipe fabrication for a host of industries.
Officials say the project, announced Wednesday, will create 560 new jobs with an average annual salary of $56,600.
Epic Piping will begin recruiting immediately, with construction starting in the second quarter of 2015. Epic anticipates completing construction and beginning operations in the second quarter of 2016.
Epic Piping will build on a 70-acre site immediately southwest of the Interstate 12 interchange at La. Highway 63.
