Entergy customers in Louisiana will see their bills go up as early as August to pay for the utility's damage from hurricanes Ike and Gustav. More than a million customers are affected who are served by Entergy Louisiana and Entergy Gulf-States. The company will borrow $721 million for the repairs and to replenish a reserve fund to help cover damage costs from future storms. Entergy Gulf-States customers in the Baton Rouge region will see a surcharge on their bills of about $1.42 per 1,000 kilowatt hours.
