Engineers to talk about Pete's Highway exit today
DENHAM SPRINGS- Thursday, state traffic leaders will discuss the possibility of adding a new exit and interchange to I-12.
Engineers will display drawings for changes to I-12 at Pete's Highway. Adding an exit there could help ease congestion on Range Avenue. Other routes are being discussed.
A population and business explosion is forcing the change.
"New growth has definitely contributed to traffic congestion in the area and that was taken into consideration," said DOTD spokesperson Rodney Mallet.
