Demolition on a West Monroe townhouse on the bank of the Ouachita River that was near collapse is almost finished.
Its foundation began to shift last July.
A state district judge ruled in November that the house should be condemned and destroyed, but high water kept demolition from beginning until recently.
Now its top floor has been almost entirely stripped off.
Only a stairwell projects above the lower floors, which also are being stripped down.
