Employees relocated after restaurant fire
Employees at "Las Palmas" Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge will be relocated while the restaurant is repaired after an early morning fire.
The fire destroyed a portion of the roof, but hours after the blaze, cleanup crews and roofers were on site to begin repairs.
"We have a lot of employees that aren't working so we're trying to finish as fast as we can," said Adam Salmen, owner of the Las Palmas located near O'Neal Lane.
Salmen said some workers will get a chance to pick up shifts at the restaurant's other locations.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Salmen thinks it could be an electrical malfunction.
