CONROE, TEXAS- An 84-year-old woman in jail on theft charges is now accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill a prosecutor and maim his boss and to make it look like a copy-cat killing. Authorities say Dorothy Canfield sought to have the Montgomery County D-A hurt and kill Assistant D-A Rob Freyer. They say she wanted it to look similar to the recent unsolved killings of Kaufamn County D-A Mike Mclelland, his wife, and Assistant D-A Mark Hasse. Canfield now faces charges of murder solicitation and assault.
