Elderly Hammond man dies in fire
BATON ROUGE - Fire investigators are working to determine what sparked a fire that killed a 74-year-old Hammond man Friday night.
The fire happened at 508 Phoenix Square. Nathaniel Kelly, Sr. was killed in the blaze. According to the State Fire Marshal, the fire orginated in the hallway, but it is unknown what exactly started the fire.
The fire is still under investigation.
