Elderly couple found dead in apparent Bossier City murder-suicide
BOSSIER CITY, La. - Bossier City Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving an elderly couple.
Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale says authorities responded to the home of the couple - both in their 80s - about 10 a.m. Monday after a relative stopped by and found the man and woman unresponsive inside.
He says both had sustained gunshot wounds.
Natale says based on information and evidence collected at the scene, detectives believe the incident appears to be a case of murder-suicide.
He says detectives recovered a weapon from the scene.
Natale late Monday identified the victims as 86-year-old Roy Mitchell and his wife, 84-year-old Margaret Mitchell.
