Eight lives left
LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA- A cat is now safe after it was found trapped in a boat that sank to the bottom of a lake.
It was hungry, wet and scared when a dive team recovered the boat and brought it to shore. It was found in a front storage compartment.
The cat was nicknamed River by the Western Arizona Humane Society, where it was brought to recover.
The dive team says the cat had been in the water at least an hour and must have stowed away sometime before the boat owner left Orange County, California for the lake. The boat owner says the cat isn't his and the Humane Society says if no one comes forward to claim River it will be put up for adoption.
