You may have noticed it is hard to find a copy of the new Edwin Edwards biography.
The first print of 10,000 books sold out within three days. A second 10,000 print run is mostly pre-ordered. Baton Rouge bookstore owner Danny Plaisance says his phone has been ringing non-stop since the biography was released last week.
Many people looking for copies of the book for Christmas gifts are out of luck.
Author Leo Honeycutt says many people are looking for answers about Louisiana's only four term governor. He says they use the information to determine if they were right or wrong about what type of leader he was.
Publisher Jim Brown says defining Edwards is not simple. He says the scandals often made the headlines, but Edwards was also known for including many "good government" policies during his first two terms in office.
Both Brown and Honeycutt say more copies of the book should be available around the New Year's holiday.
