BATON ROUGE- Former Governor Edwin Edwards has used social networking to connect with thousands of followers since his release from prison, but he may be looking for an even broader audience.
Edwards and his fiance say they are in talks with a producer about being in a reality TV show. They did not give details.
Films in Motion producer Elizabeth Hutchison says putting Edwards, one of the state's most colorful and controversial characters, in reality television is a great idea. Hutchison says Hollywood is starting to realize Louisiana is full of colorful people, thanks to shows like "Swamp People", and many people would probably be interested in what Edwards is doing now.
