BATON ROUGE- State education leaders will ask the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to change how students earn credit for classes.
Under a plan to be presented to BESE, students would be able to take tests and earn credit for classes they never actually took. The system would be similar to placement tests at the collegiate level.
BESE has to approve changes before any can be implemented.
