Eden Church Road improvements coming
DENHAM SPRINGS - Relief for drivers of Eden Church Road is just around the corner as crews prepare to begin roadwork on the pothole filled street.
"It gets to be a bit cumbersome, the road is in really bad shape now, they fixed the potholes on numerous occasions but it gets to be a temporary fix," said Charles Burrell, who drives the road frequently.
Alvin Fairburn & Associates will be in charge of putting in an overlay on the road to make it smoother. In addition, crews will install drainage, turn lanes at either end of the road, and a safer 's-curve' that will allow drivers to navigate the turn at 35 m.p.h.
Work is expected to begin in January.
